I'm pretty sure I scanned and sent you your prom picture some years ago because, you know, it's in a box that I was going through. I hope I'm in one or two of those photos... :)
Gosh, I sent you one of my prom pictures at some point?? That's bizarre! But I guess we did that sort of thing in the 90s? Weirdly, I haven't come across a pic of you yet, but I have many photos to go...
Jane, I do believe you've found the answer: Clean your old photos out of the attic and put them in your blog. BTW, I'd love to see an image from around the time I first met you.
I'm willing to bet a fair number of those pics are from me, back when I used to make hard copies of all of my pictures and mailed! them to everyone in them... feel free to discard (I have them all in albums)
Jane, this is such a familiar experience for so many people, I think. My family were prolific photographers. I have crates and crates of my father's slides going back to the 50's and his photos and films (even some film film) going back further than that. My policy has been to curate at every major milestone like a move or a repack and then to assume that my kids will curate their grandparents' stuff less than they'll curate mine (since I'll likely leave more behind) (ok not the slides! no one can top the amount of slides). The process of sifting through these things is fascinating. Thanks for sharing your take on it. (and I, too, have the curse of the doubles. why oh why)

Two words: Laura Ashley.

I'll see what I can do!

I do like the blurry picture of the tree-hugger. I think, it captures something that the clear pics don't.
