Hello! My name is Jane Roper and I write about being a writer, (middle)aging, failing at mindfulness, having too much tupperware, confronting mortality, and whatever else pops into my small head.

I’m the author of a couple of books, including THE SOCIETY OF SHAME, a bunch of personal essays and some crappy short stories. I’ve been blogging since the first time it was cool, way back in the early 2000s. Now I am embracing the disruptive and transformative paradigm (as I might be forced to write in my advertising/marketing day job, feeling dirty inside) of the “Email Newsletter.”
